Latest news is that Dave has had the leg set and surgeons are happy with the way the operation went. | The end of season awards/quiz evening was a great success, even if Storm were unable to make it! The Runners-up shield was proudly paraded in front of the players and supporters, not from an open-topped bus admittedly but from a bar stool instead! Dave Neaum graciously accepted the player of the year award (on a technicality due to his brother Tim failing to show and them being tied on votes!) and is frantically searching for the matching boot so he will have a new pair for next season - it's made from lead Dave! The quiz was very successful with Ricks team 'Onetoomany' just pipping Jon's team 'Where's Ben?' (who in fact had two too many!) to the winnings which were very kindly returned to bolster club funds - which is what we were going to do as well if we had won, honest! A princely sum of £100 was raised in the evening which will help greatly with next years expenditure. Stevensons of Newlyn have also agreed to sponsor us to the tune of £25 towards our new nets! |

| As the 2003 season draws to a close, we can reflect upon a successful first season in Mining League 3. After leading the league for much of the season it was slightly disappointing to finish second, but injuries took their toll and a few dodgy referee decisions didn't help. Top scorer for the season was Ben Strowger with 29 goals, Frank is not far behind with -1. Tim Wright managed to keep up his record of scoring in every season, even if it was a fluke from a corner in the last match of the season. Goal of the season - well we haven't decided that yet, but watch this space. We're now looking forward to next season in Mining League 2 - Come on the Crab Army ! |

| Annual trip to play The Scillys. With promotion guaranteed the Crab Army set sail for their annual end of season fixture against The Scillys. An early crossing and a very early bar meant much of the team were perhaps not in the right frame of mind/condition to take on an eager Scillys team. We lost - never mind, a good day was had by all. |
